Meet Our Team

We are a team of enthusiastic individuals with a wealth of experience in the Equine Industry, from stable management, to riding lessons and therapeutic riding programs.

Brenda Spanier

Head Instructor

"A long time Cochrane area resident, horse crazy from the time I knew how to say horse. I wanted to share my love of horses with others and started the process of becoming a certified instructor.

I became EC Western Instructor in 2010, continuing on to become Western Rider Evaluator. In 2014  I started volunteering at the Olds Therapeutic Riding program, MountView Special Riding Association. I loved it so much I registered with CanTRA for Intermediate Instructor a level I achieved in 2016. Continuing on I completed my Senior Instructor level in 2019.

I was the Head Instructor of the Will For Riding Foundation from the Pilot Program in 2015 to December 2019 when the Foundation was dissolved. I am pleased to now be working with 4:13 TRA.

Erin Joined the 4:13 Team in the summer of 2019.  She has a background in not for profit management and is a long time horse nerd.  Erin got her start with horses at Griffin Valley Ranch, and then on to Bates Bar J.  Erin takes lessons and boards her horse "Owen" at High Country Equestrian Centre.

"Working with the riders in the 4:13 Program is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.  Watching the riders get the giggles when they trot in the arena makes me smile every time."  - Erin

I have loved horses since I could walk and they have always been a source of emotional therapy for me.

I have been working with 4:13 since 2018 and have loved being a part of something so magical; kids connecting with horses physically, mentally and emotionally. The progressions that past students (and their families) have had are remarkable progressions in development and as a bystander, volunteer and board member there is nothing more touching and rewarding than seeing the impact that horses can have on humans from all backgrounds and walks of life.
